Well here it is, a quick review of Jeff's new song, "Twist of Lime." First off after having been a DJ for almost 20 years, and having worked with a Country radio station, I think I have a little knowledge of music. I have always been a big fan of the 60's and 70's but I do have to say after listening to "Twist of Lime", I just can't seem to get it out of my head. I find my self humming it quite a bit. I would also like to say a little bit about your song "Long Kisses." I brought the song up to a radio station where a friend of mine is a country DJ. He listened to the song, then called in his morning show co host and played it for him, they both loved it, and he wants to interview Jeff live on the radio. I am now a comedy Hypnotist, and perform at a lot of large venues (resorts, Casino's, Festivals, etc.), and I have been talking with a few connections I know to see about getting Jeff some bookings. I would not recommend someone I didn't believe is a great artist like you, but I truly believe you have what it takes to make it big.

I have got to say that I’ve heard a ton of independent albums over the years and Jeff’s has got to be one of the best I’ve ever heard, especially for a first offering! I think the sound is incredible and it really seems to reflect who he is as a musician. I would have loved to hear a little more of the “twist of lime” sound in some ways (I don’t know, steel drums, ocean sounds, cover of a Jimmy Buffet tune) but in all it’s a great record! I would say that Twist of Lime is probably my favorite track on the CD … maybe because I understand a lot of the subtle lines that are so personal to him(hey, Jimmy Buffet might eat crab or shrimp, but a Maine boy has to eat lobster).
I hope this CD opens a lot of doors for Jeff.

"When people hear me listening to Jeff Caron they say, 'Hey Chris, I thought you hated country?' and I simply reply, 'I do, but this is Jeff'. I really like the beachy good time feel of the CD with twists of classic rock like Jovi thrown in. It's now one of my favorite CD's and I just can't stop monkeying around!"
Jeff Caron’s Twist of Lime has such a great feel. This song takes you away to a place where there are no worries and life is good. The song was written with a touch of class and lyrically is witty at best. The combination of words and melody is like going on vacation without leaving your house, office or car. I own this record and its title track is top notch! Pick up Twist of Lime if you’re looking to escape the rat race!
Jeff Caron completes me :)
I just wanted to say how much I love Jeff's album Twist of Lime. His Title song, Twist of lime sums up it all up for his style. It reminds me of what it might feel like to drink a Corona with Kenny Chesney, Bon Jovi and Jimmy Buffet all at the same time. I love when he says "crank up some ol Bon Jovi" then he plays that guitar riff... I love my country but I still have that sweet tooth for rock. I can't wait till Jeff comes up to Minnesota to do a show. My wife and I will be in the front row!
Jeff, You ROCK!!
Country newcomer Jeff Caron recently released his debut album, "Twist of Lime." The title is kind of a tribute to the relaxing, tropical beach way of life, made known by other artists such as Kenny Chesney and Jimmy Buffett. The album was released on Magenta Records, and is currently only available on Jeff Caron's website, www.jeffcaron.net.
My first experience to Jeff's music was on MySpace, where only four tracks are previewed. The first day I discovered these tracks, "Twist of Lime," "Long Kisses," "In Your Eyes," and "Someday I'll be Saturday Night," I was hooked! I replayed them for hours. I was very pleasantly surprised. Even more surprising was the revelation that Jeff wrote "Twist of Lime" and "In Your Eyes," along with the song "Someday in this Life."
There are several fantastic songs on this album. "Twist of Lime" talks of dreaming of being on a beach, presumably on vacation. This song really captures the style he is trying to portray. The lyrics paint a picture so clear, I feel like I am there, on that beach, every time I hear the song. It's got a great, upbeat tempo, and a very catchy rhythm. I find this song stuck in my head very often!
"Monkey Around" is another up-tempo song that is a lot of fun to listen to. I find this song the most dance-able track on the album. There's nothing more to say, other than that it is fun! Just listen to it, and I'm sure you'll agree!
The first time I heard the song "Someday in This Life" was live, at his debut concert. It was there that I learned that this song was autobiographical. The lyrics and emotion in this song are so genuine, that it nearly brings me to tears every time I listen to it. The only thing that could make this song any better would be to have the raw quality I heard at the show. There were times when I felt the production techniques removed me from the song emotionally. However, the rest of the song is so good, it is easy to put those things aside and just engross yourself in the song.
"Long Kisses" is yet another up-tempo, catchy song. This song is similar in style to a Kenny Chesney or Garth Brooks song. This is one of the best vocal showcase songs on the album. I feel like everything kind of falls together on this song, and the lyrics and production really work well together.
But my favorite song on this album is the song "Someday I'll be Saturday Night." This song was originally done by Bon Jovi, but I had never heard it before. I feel this song is the best vocal song on the entire album! When I listen to this song performed by Jeff, I am just amazed at how GREAT his voice sounds!
What I find the most romantic part of this album is the fact that Jeff wrote the song "In your eyes" for his wife. This could be one of the next great wedding songs. The lyrics capture the feelings every groom wants to say to his bride, but doesn't know how.
Although I can hear the potential, I find the rest of the songs on the album to be slightly over produced. Jeff Caron's voice sounds its best when he is singing simple lines, not warbles and fades. The vocal track doesn't have to be complex to be good. With that being said, there are no bad songs on this album. And even the songs that I do take issue with, when sung live, I find much more enjoyable.
Overall, this is a great album. I think Jeff Caron could do very well. There is something on this album for everyone, from the rocker to the romantic. Jeff Caron is definitely one to watch!
I have had the opportunity to play along side of Jeff for a couple of years and it's been a pleasure. Listening to his premiere cd "Twist of Lime" you gotta wonder where the hell has this fella been all these years...well I have had him up until now. From the opening track to the end there is not a bad song on the recording which is rare today. This doesn't sound like your everyday independent artist Musically, vocally and the songwriting ranks right up there with what's on the charts in country music today. It's has a little something for everyone whether it's traditional country, non traditional country and rock n roll...you have a one stop shop here my friend. Who ever said you can't have it all… hasn't had there lime twisted yet!
5 Stars baby!

Hi guys- I loved the CD and I normally don’t like country. Jeff has a beautiful voice & the songs are awesome. Between you & me and “nobody” else—the song about his mom & dad (Someday In This Life) made me cry - and of course the wedding song (In Your Eyes) has always been a favorite of mine. I think Jeff should audition for American Idol. I look forward to the promotion that he is planning here in Minnesota!
I love it! I really do not like country music but I like Jeff’s CD. He kind of converted me I guess. I would say that my favorite song would be "Someday I will be Saturday Night" and my favorite song written by Jeff that is an upbeat would be "Twist of Lime" and my favorite slow song would be "In your Eyes." I just wish there were more songs that he wrote on there. But other than that, It totally like freakin rocks my socks man. LOL. But seriously it is pretty awesome.
